Week 3

BACK TO PAWN QUEEN HOME

CAT---week-3
Cause and Effect:  This is related to “reap what you sow” but it applies to thoughts and thought processes.  Clear the mind of pre-programmed thoughts.  Clear the board.  Build your consciousness with an awareness that much of what you perceive as reality is the result of the way you are looking at things.  Reset your assumptions, examine your logic.  But, more than anything, step back and see how your emotions are leading you to generate thoughts in a certain direction, with a certain orientation.  Then experiment.  Try applying a different emotion to the situation.  See how your emotions ARE the synthetic a priori - the rose-colored glasses.  Then try removing all emotion.  This is not to advocate an absence of affect, but to build an innate stillness.  Okay?  Hard to do?  It’s worth giving it a shot, don’t you agree?

DIAMOND RING---week-3
The concept of interconnectedness carries with it a number of implications.  You should always trust your own instincts.  Go far beyond the super-rational.  Accept that “intuitions” are probably the result of mental processes you’re not completely aware of, and which you do not fully understand, nor can you describe them.  Reality check:  your brain is most likely extremely adept at processing / dealing with information from non-verbal, non-obvious sources - even if you tend to reduce the complex functioning of your brain to fairly plain utterance.

SATIN GLOVE---week-3

The people who most annoy you are probably mirroring some aspect of yourself.  Learn something from this!  It is an opportunity for self-examination, plus an opportunity to learn how to either disregard or keep something from creating a serious disruption to one’s life of thinking.

DEAD FISH---week-3
How do you add 2 and 2 together?  What are the practical considerations?  You make predictions about how things will most likely turn out.  This is a delicate balancing act between lived experience and wishful thinking.  The procedure never varies:  it starts with a twitch of longing, and then it intensifies as an awareness of deprivation begins to build.  Put 2 and 2 together.  Be convinced of your own certainty and your own right to high entitlement.  Then, prepare yourself for dizzying ascents into the stratospheric reaches of narcissism and an equally vertiginous plunge to earth.  Perhaps the end is a bit dismal, but the ride was certainly stellar, wasn’t it?  Say it was worth it, dear.

ROSE OR BEAUTIFUL FLOWER---week-3
Mental images you develop, and which you reflect upon ARE a kind of reality.  Keep this in mind!  Don’t self-censor.  Simply realize that things you envision can potentially be very powerful.  To be able to envision - not just the image of something, but also components and the operations of it, then you have a talent and a tool to use.  Use it well. Use it responsibly.  Mental power is not to be squandered.

SHOVEL---week-3
You are feeling absolute certitude about something.  What does this mean?  Is it even possible?  You hear yourself speak and you are amazed at how confident you sound.  It is a bluff.  The tone is pseudo-bullying as though you’re trying to convince yourself that you are “right.”  But, are you coming across as amazingly judgmental?  When is it necessary to be linear, though?  When is it more convenient to be dogmatic?  When are you compelled to follow some sort of ideological imperative? It’s hard to say, isn’t it?
